One day, while screening a client, I detected subtle abnormal skin changes that could have easily been overlooked. She had noticed changes in her skin, but with a house full of kids, wedding planning and a never-ending to-do list, self-care took a backseat. She actually just thought it was dry patches of skin or a rash😕 Life can be chaotic, but your health and well-being should never be compromised.

This visit became the source for early detection, referral, and ultimately, life-saving treatment for skin cancer. Oh and she made it down the aisle 😉🎥🙏🏾

Amidst the pandemic’s dreadfulness, my Winter graced the world prematurely, weighing a delicate 5.36 lbs and I also faced complications. Being a nurse by profession while also being a patient adds another layer of complexity to the experience.
